A Memorial exhibited by **Benjamin Stevens** to be registered in the Auditor Genls ''[General's]'' Office Pursuant to the act of Assembly in that Case made & provided 

of a plantation or tract of 160 Acres of Land Situate in Colleton County on Beach Hill bounding Westward on **Elijah Postell**s land Nward ''[Northward]'' on **Danl** ''[**Daniel**]'' **Blake** Eward ''[Eastward]'' on **James Smith**s land & Sward ''[Southward]'' on **Wm.** ''[**William**]'' **Norman**s land but by a resurvey Containing 175 1/2 ''[175.5]'' Acres and after divers Mesne Conveyances became the property of **James Smith** and Conveyed by **James Smith** to **Benjamin Stevens** the Memst. ''[Memorialist]'' by deed of release bearing date the first day of Sepr 1770 ''[01 Sep 1770]''

also of another tract of 260 Acres of Land but on a resurvey Containing 272 Acres of Land Situate in Colleton County St Pauls Parish at a place Called beach hill bounding Eward on lands purchased for the Ministry Sward on lands formerly belonging to **Wm.** ''[**William**]'' **Bull** Esqr ''[Esquire]'' and vacant Land Wward on **Wm.** ''[**William**]'' **Burley** & Nward on **Joseph Summar** ''[sic]'' Granted the 13th of Jany 1718 to **Thos.** ''[**Thomas**]'' **Osgood** and after divers Mesne Conveyances became the property of **James Smith** who sold and Conveyed the aforementioned 260 Acres of Land to **Benjamin Stevens** the Memst. by lease and release bearing date respectively the 27th and 28th days of August 1770 ''[27 Aug 1770 & 28 Aug 1770]'' Qt Rt. 1/ Pro ''[Quit Rent 1s Proclamation]'' Per 100 Acres
