Memorial of Sarah Chamberline, 68 Acres, Berkley County, SC, 19 May 1733

South Carolina.

A tract of Sixty eight [68] acres of land being part of Six hundred and forty eight [648] acres of land Situate in Berkley County granted by the Honble [Honorable] Robert Gibbs Esqr – the late Lords Proprietors Govr – & Charles Hart, Samuel Eveleigh, Charles Burnham & Thomas Diston Esqr, the late Lords Proprietors, Deputies to the late William Gibson Esqr Deceased under the Yearly rent of one Shilling Per hundred acres as by the said grant having sold the Twenty third day of July in the year of our Lord 1711 [23 Jul 1711]. appears which said tract of Six hundred & forty [640] acres of land was sold and conveyed to Job Chamberline and to his heirs & assigns Formerly John Cawood Esq and Elizabeth his Wife as by Deed under their hands & Seals bearing date the 24th day of June in the year of our Lord 1725 [24 Jun 1725]. appears out of which said tracts the said Job Chamberline Deceased in his life time Sold Five hundred Seventy two [572] acres unto Moses Graves and Moses Norman so there remains only Sixty eight [68] acres of land possessed by the Widdow [sic] Sarah Chamberline, Executrix of the said Job Chamberline which She desires may be Registered pursuant to the act May the 19th 1733 [19 May 1733].
