Joseph Norman, Plat for 900 Acres, Craven County SC, 10 Mar 1731/2. Endorsement that Joseph Norman and His Brother-in-law Died Intestate.

By virtue of a precept to me directed by James St. John Esq. Surveyor General, &c [etc.] I have admeasured and laid out unto Joseph Norman a tract of land in Craven County, containing Nine Hundred [900] Acres, Butting and bounding to the Wrd [Westward] on lands belonging to Mr. St. Julian, and on all other sides on lands not laid out. And hath such shape and marked trees as are specified in the above delineated plat hereof.

Given under my hand this 10th of March 1731/2 [10 Mar 1731/2].

The above named Mr. Thomas [not actually named above] (to whom the plat was delivered) says that Joseph Norman is dead, and that he is his brother-in-law: he also died intestate and without heirs. 17th Feby 1736.7. [17 Feb 1736/7]
